Heard the promises of $100 retired military Jeeps and $500 luxury cars confiscated in drug raids? You've likely seen the newspaper ads, flyers and infomercials that were so popular in recent years as part of get-rich-quick schemes, promising to show us how to buy luxury automobiles at a small fraction of their real worth through government auctions.

From our early days as an online police auction site, there was one piece of property & evidence that we did not touch – firearms. However, recently for many states and jurisdictions it has become a requirement, and even mandated, for law enforcement agencies to auction off their seized, forfeited and unclaimed firearms just as they do with other parts of the property and evidence room.

But there is a twist - NO firearms will be auctioned on PropertyRoom.com. Instead they are offered for auction through Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) partner BudsGunsShop.com on their auction website eGunner.com, a division of BudsGunShop.com. Partnering with an organization like BudsGunShop.com who has over 40 years’ experience in the firearms industry and has sold and shipped over 1 million firearms, ensures that firearms sold will be transferred from FFL to FFL and all legal requirements, including background checks before release, will be completed to the letter of the law.

Shpock is a “boot sale” app and is the abbreviation of ‘SHop in your POCKet’. The platform was launched by two Austrian entrepreneurs. It encourages sellers to list unwanted but ‘beautiful things’ to buyers in their local area. Shpock is easy to users, sellers simply have to upload photos of an item with a description, then watch the bids roll in. Items can either be collected in person or shipped.

CoPart was founded as far back as 1982. The vehicle auction site has more than 75,000 vehicles on sale each day. CoPart offers a fast, safe and easy way to sell a used, unwanted or damaged vehicle. Available for sellers and buyers in the US, sellers simply have to fill out a form or ring the phone number, CoPart will then give an instant offer, the car then goes into the auction, with payment and pickup happening in often as little as 48 hours.
1. You're not used to the process. It may sound like an ordinary auction, but it's not. There are rules that need to be followed, plus the fact that you're practically dealing with the government. Your fear and awkwardness can definitely affect your bidding decision. To ensure that you will be able to bid properly, get yourself comfortable not only with the auction procedures but also with the people around you. They normally have practice auctions. It's ideal if you can attend at least one of them. You may also try to observe real government auctions and take note of how veterans bid for these cars.
When using an online auction directory service, don’t expect a full list of specific vehicles, descriptions, and prices for each auction because this information changes daily— although some services provide more detail than others. Some directory services have outdated information so be sure to ask for your money back if you don’t like the service or its product.
